Government Contracting/Purchasing TAA-compliant equipment

Question
I am evaluating tablets as part of an agency project.  I am looking at technical capabilities.  I heard that only TAA-compliant devices will be considered, for security reasons.  I heard that TAA stands for Trade Association Agreement.  Only equipment from member countries who manufacture and/or assemble TAA compliant devices may be procured by my agency.  However, I can not locate a list of TAA countries and/or brands from which to include in source selection. I've searched the Internet and most companies don't mention TAA on their websites.  I want to select a technically competent device but how do I find out which brands are "TAA compliant?"

Answer
Mark,

I believe you are seeking Trade Agreements Act (TAA) countries, which are defined in the FAR and can be located here;

http://www.acq.osd.mil/dpap/dars/dfars/html/current/252225.htm

as well as other BAA related references.

Hope this helps.
