Question
In total, how many congressional and state senators does each texan have?

In total, how many congressioanl and state house of representatives does each texan have?

Answer
Anna,
Thank you so much for writing.

Each Texan (resident of Texas) is represented by 2 State Senators.  There are congressional districts within each state that are utilized to represent equal voting power.  Each of these districts has a Representative that is a member of the House of Representatives.

This would mean that each Texan has 3 people representing him/her in Congress:  2 Senators (each state has 2) and 1 Representative.  This is the same for every US citizen.  We all have 3 people representing us in Congress.

I hope this answers the question you were asking.  If you were trying to get another question asked, please let me know.  I am more than happy to help you out.

Best of luck.
Eric
