Graphic Accelerators - graphics card explanation

Question
my son has a new pc (10mths old) with an Integrated S3 Prosavage 8 3D AGP graphics card with upto 32mb shared video memory (which at the time of purchase was told its capable of RPG's). I have just purchased Final Fantasy 11 for him and he cannot play on-line due to some hardware conflict & TnL.  According to my searching this card should suffice & he shouldn't be having problems.

Any suggestions, Many thanks.  Diane

Answer
not really sure what you mean by hardware conflict and TnL but I would question wether the integrated video card is capable of doing what you want especially if the game is a newer game.  Newer games are requiring 64mb stand alone video cards to work properly.  I would back the screen resolution and color detail down and see if that helps.  If your computer has 128mb or ram and you are sharing up to 32mb with the video card you may not have enough ram.  Even 256mb may be suspect.  If you send complete system specs then I may be able to think of other things to help.

I hope this helps
john
