Hi sara, my husband thinks that when I have my period, and can't have sex with him, that I should give him oral sex. I feel if I can't have any then the least he could do is abstain with me. Whats your opinion on this matter...

I'm confused by some of what you say; you can't have sex during your period. There is no reason you can’t; maybe you mean you don't want to have sex. Yes it's a little messy, having intercourse, but there are lots of alternatives, anal sex, breast sex, and shower sex. And there are products like the Diva Cup see link below, which allow you to have intercourse and oral sex during your period if you desire. I understand some women just don't feel well during the cycle and which to avoid all sexual contact, and others like my self get very horny during this time. Sex can also help to relieve cramps and make you feel better. If PMS is a big drain on you, and you’re not into sex during this time why would you want to compound it by making your husband abstain too? This a time when you need to feel loved and snuggling up with him and giving him a hand job or oral sex will make him feel better and also get you some attention too. So by all means why not give him oral sex during your period, he'll love it will look forward to supporting you thru your PMS times.
