Greece - baby stroller in athens

Expert: Roger Ellman - 10/11/2009

Question
Hi,
I am going to visit Athens next week with a 6 months old baby.
We will stay in Athens for 5 days.

Does it make sense for use to bring a baby stroller with us?
Some friends (also mention in lonely planet) said that one can't use a baby stroller due to the street condition and also traffic in Athens. We should not bring one.
Could you please give us an advice?
thank you.

Some cobblestone area also do not help

But its very difficult in some places to fit a baby stroller between parked gars to cross the road they are often parked so tightly

You could bring it and would find areas to wheel it but you may well also find yourselves having to pick up the whole stroller to squeeze between parked cars to cross the street

Apologies for a hasty reply, enjoy Athens
