Greece/Igoumenitsa to Kalambaka

Hi Emilios,

We are on Corfu right now and we have an Interrail pas and Want to go to Athens. We found that we Can take a ferry from Corfu to igoumenitsa. But we need to go to kalambaka or trikala to reach the railway. Do you know if it is possible by bus? And what an approximate cost would be? We plan to catch the ferry at 9.30.
This would be a great help!!

Best regards Anna & Mads

Hello Anna,
It is a bit difficult to go straight from Igoumenitsa to Trikala. Actually there is no bus for such trip. It is better to travel to Thessaloniki and then get the train to Athens.

Actually from Corfu there is a bus at 8:15 and 13:30, to Thessaloniki and the ticket cost 35.

Another cheaper solution is to travel to Larissa and then to take the train to Athens. From Corfu there are buses every Tuesday at 8:15 and every Friday at  13:30. The ticket to Larissa costs 28

he other case is to go straight to Athens by bus from Corfu. There are buses at 8:15, 13:30 and 20:15. The ticket cost about 45

Link of the bus station of Corfu

Hope I helped.
