Question
I'm traveling to Greece from Italy in July. I purchased a Eurail pass can you give suggestions on what lines and cities are best to train out of to get to Athens.

Answer
Yiasou Jenelle, Thankyou for the question,

There are 2 achually ...

You can get to Greece using Eurail-ticket from the sea, sailing out of Venice (one or 2 a week), daily in the evenings out of Ancona, Bari and my favorite Brindisi.

These vessels go to Corfu and usually onto Patras.  They also may stop or you may want to change at Corfu and go on to IGOMENITSA.  From IGO it is an 8-hour bus to Athens from the North.

You can instead (what I would do) go on to PATRAS in the Western Peleponesse.  From here there are both busses and trains waiting for you upon debarkation that will take you to Athens in 3 1/2 hrs (BUS),  4 1/2 hrs (train). Whenever you arrive!

Have a safe and enjoyable trip
