Question I've been reading a lot about Delos. Our cruise ship docks at noon and doesn't leave until 7pm. Can I get to Delos by myself or do I need to take a group tour? What is the cost of the ferry and how long does it take to get there?
Answer Yiasou Gay, Thank you for the Question,
The 'tour' to DELOS goes each morning at 10AM and returns by 2 PM ... Reason for that is that DELOS closes to tourists by 3PM. There is NO actual ferry that goes from Myk to Delos ... it is a tour boat. From NAXOS and PAROS there are ferrys. DELOS is only 1/2 mile from Myk. and the trip is a very short one. But coming in at noon you will not be able to make it.
There are always private boats that go over and back, and IF you can get one around 12 to 12:30, you should still be able to enjoy the ruins of DELOS for an hour before they kick you out of there. Prices for private carriers do vary but I would think that 20-30 euro would be a ballpark figure to shoot for.
