Question Dear Denny, my 2 daughters aged 14yrs & 11yrs will be in distomo greece visiting friends however i need to be in thessaloniki on the 19th of july 2007. what is the best and most economical way of getting there? do we catch a bus from leivadia or delphi which means i have to somehow get to either one of those places or do we train it from distomo if there is a train? how much time do i allow for this travel and what would the cost be for us all? this will be a return trip as we are back in distomo on the 22nd of july. we then need to somehow get to athens airport for a flight back home to australia on the 25th of july. is there a bus/train from leivadia to the airport in athens direct and again, how much time do i need to allocate to allow myself enough time for my flight. thank you i await in anticipation for your quick response. regards, maria
Answer FOLLOW UP ...Yiasou Maria, Thanks for the question,
JUST A BIT MORE...DISTOMO is big enough to have a busstop, though I cannot find it...however, from the nearby village of ARAHOVA there is a busstop that will take you to DELPHI or to LEIVIDIA.
Here is the phone number of one of two Hotels in Distomo, It is the AMERICAN...22670-22079 or 80. They should be able to help you out.
