I inherited a Die stamped Brass figurine named "The wise monkeys", But can not understand why it is stamped with  Ancient Greek scripts? Are these symbols in fact Ancient Greek scripts as identified by a local Grecian or Pre-Old Arabic as identified by a gentleman familiar with Arabic? Sorry if I have  waste your time, Please respond if can share your knowlage.      EMAIL:

Answer
Hi William,

to me it looks like "Greece" in a bad-spelt way and a bit altered Latin characters. The word "land" that follows suggests this, too. The concept font is a bit linear, but whoever invented it possibly didn't know very good English.

Well, I cannot tell you more than that. Sorry.

Cordially,
Michael
