Question
QUESTION: Hey Man

I've been a Green Day fan for years and only just got to the point of wanting
to expand my collection, i have nearly all the singles cd1's and cd 2's and i
just lost out on slappy ep vinyl on ebay but i really want it lol Basically i really
wanna know where i can get my hands on such rare things like that and also
bootlegs i only have like 3 or 4 rare bootlegs
Any help would be brilliant cos im almost in tears to loosing out on that ep
Thanks
Grant

ANSWER: ahh was this slappy just a black vinyl or coloured?

basically if you want to collect rarer stuff you need the money, iv been collecting for years and to be honest iv spent loads over the years.

Your single collection if you bought the cd1 and cd2 you could look for promo cds or imports, japanese and german ones are quite nice.

Vinyls are good but are more expensive than cds,

as for bootlegs i originally started collecting bootlegs but gave up in the end they cost to much and theres hundreds out there, i got to the stage when i thought how am i going to collect all these so went on to singles

if you'd like a list of my collection id be willing to email it over

best place to look for stuff EBAY!

QUESTION: Ok  could you give me a figure on what a fair sum would be to pay for a cd
bootleg? or a rare vinyl ? Ive been paying around 25 for cd's and havent got
any vinyls yet. I have noticed springs up a few things from time to time but is
there anywhere else as reliable?

Thanks
Again
Grant

Answer
you could try www.gemm.com as well its a funny one though sometimes you find bargains sometimes you get ripped off.

As for bootlegs when i used to collect them they were around £15, as for vinyls thats different i paid £105 for one vinyl, but have also picked one up for £1, many different vinyls have different rarities, ie the amount that are pressed and colours and different prints.

i use www.greendaydiscography.com a lot of the time, click on the forum and you can see what people have and find out a lot about records there. its worth a look to boost your collection and knowledge
