Growing Vegetables - mushroom growth

Expert: Elyse Grau - 10/15/2009

Question
What are the best climates for growing mushrooms in?              Are you supposed to use soil to grow mushrooms?

Answer
Abby:
Different mushrooms grow on different substrates. They are not grown in the garden, or in soil. They grow in dark, moist conditions, and the best way to do it is from a kit (which are expensive).

If you want more information, try doing a search on mushroom growing and see if there is someone at this site with more knowledge about the subject than I have.

Elyse
