Growing Vegetables - green bell peppers

Expert: Don Battales - 6/25/2009

Question
I'm growing a bell pepper all looks good except it has developed a dark area where the leaves attatch to the main stem. Is this normal or a problem?

Answer
David:

I have had the same experience. I do not know what causes this but do not think that it is a fungus. Just to be safe, spray with a general fungicide.

I did not spay and the blackness did not effect my plant production.

Please let me know how things turn out for you.

Best wishes.
