Growing Vegetables - Peppers

Expert: Don Battales - 7/4/2009

Question
Hi, I'm kind of a novice to veggies, so any tips would be great. My peppers seem to be growing well, I have flowers and everything so I'm awaiting bees. But where the "branches" meet with the main stem, it looks kind of a blackish color in some spots. is this normal, the plant seems pretty healthy?  thanks!!

Answer
Tomy:

This is a commom problem with peppers and it is caused by some kind of fungus. Use a good fungicide and spray about there times. I don't think that it will cause a big problem for your peppers.

Please E-mail me and let me know what your results are at don@donsfoods.com. I have had this problem before.

Best wishes.
