Question Hallo,
We are planning to arrive from London at the beginning of January to Belize to start a seven country trip, ending in Panama with a return flight to London.
Guatemala
We are planning to arrive in Guatemala via Belize near San Ignacio border crossing.
Ideally, we would like to hire a car at the border, to travel in Guatemala and the neighbouring countries like Honduras and El Salvador and return the car to the airport at Guatemala City. Is such a plan feasible? Can you help us please to provide some contacts?
Alternatively, would it be possible to take a bus to the capital (or near by) to start hireing as car?
We also need help in connection with other countries, which we shall ask by others in your website.

There is no way to hire a car at the border of Belize with Guatemala. You might check with http://www.alfatravelguide.com/english/gt/bgtaDet.asp?id=603 to see if you rent a car and have it
waiting for you at the border.
Now you are also very well off taking a bus directly to Santa Elena Peten and there rent a car.
You could also hire a driver and a van for your trip it might be also a good option.
