Question
Hola Armand,

we plan on driving to Antigua from Mexico mid-November.
Stay overnight in Tapachula so we can cross the border early in the morning.
After checking the internet we suppose the safiest route is the CA1 or do you know of any problems ?

We are planning to stay in Antigua for a month. Do you have places for rent over there ?

Thanks,

Piet and Marleen

Answer
Hi Piet,
Coming from Tapachula I would recommend the CA2 which is parallel at CA1 but on the pacific coast
go to Escuintla arriving at Escuintla take Antigua this way you don't have to go through the high lands. The road is good, some parts it is a divided highway. Not to curvy and it is fast.
DOn't travel at night... either than that not too much to report.
