Guatemala - Traveling from Guatemala to Belize

Hello! I will be at a yoga retreat on Lake Atitlan and from there I would like to travel up to Flores to look at the Mayan Ruins and then to Belize. My preference is to travel via bus and boat (not fly). What is the best way to get from Atitlan to Flores? Thanks!

Hola Mikela,

From Atitlan you would have to take a shuttle to Antigua First.
Then from Antigua you go to Guatemala city to take a bus to Flores.

Then from Sta Helena or Flores (th2 town next to each other one on land Sta Helena, one on the Island Flores much nicer) you can organize your trip to tikal and also to Belize with a local travel agency
