Guinea Pigs - Breeding

Question
I would like to know when can i breed my guinea pig after she has had babies? should I wait a certain period of time before breeding her as to not upset the pregnancy?  She has had a single baby this year, and I waited approx. 2 months to do it again, but she miscarried the newest birthed piggy.  Thanks for your help.  Tommy C.

Answer
Hello, Make sure she is within the age limit and not too old to have babies. I would wait about half a year or a year to be fully safe before I bred her again to make sure she has recovered and the babies are healthy. The most litters a guinea should be having a year would be 3. I cannot be sure but maybe she miscarried the second litter because it was too soon.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Alex
