Question
My son has to do a report on guinea pigs and 2 of the questions ask What are its predators and what is its prey?  Can you help us with these questions?  Thank you, Pam

Answer
Hey Pam

I hope this info helps:-

Wild guinea pigs have many predators. Their most fierce predators are probably wild cats, coyotes, and wolves. Some other predators are snakes, humans, hawks, and owls. Dangers for a pet guinea pigs are fierce cats and dogs, human feet, hot objects, electric wires, the sun, doors, poisonous foods, and falling off tables and balconies.

A guinea pig is a prey creature itself, and a herbivore. It eats grass and wild plants.

Expertise

I can answer questions on diet, behaviour (and social behaviour,), entertainment, bedding, housing, breeding, grooming, handling, and some illnesses. I'm very good at understanding guinea pig behaviour, as I work with so many of them at the guinea pig rescue. (Please rate my answers if you have time- thanks! ;))

Experience

I have owned many guinea pigs (about 11 years experience with them,)and have much experience and knowledge in how to care for them. I also work voluntarily at a local guinea pig rescue (have worked there for almost 2 years so far)and have gained much knowledge from the experiences I've had there, and from the proprietor.
