Experience i own 2 guinea-pigs and i learn somthing new every day, i have researched alot about them on lot of different sites and i have read alot of books about them.

as well as giving your guinea pig those fruits and veggies, they lack vitamin c! so please get some vitamin c drops from your local pet store to put into your guinea pigs water! :)
as far as the noises go; the loud squeeling indicates that its unhappy, angry, or REALLY hungry. she/he may not like the food or variety that youre giving to them! my guinea pig actually really HATES dry food, but i give it to her to give variety anyway. she squeels and gets mad cus she wants more lettuce.
a note about lettuce; do not give your guinea pig watercrest lettuce. it gives them runny poop :( and makes a huge mess of the cage.
