Question
QUESTION: hi Jason
my mates and myself are starting an oasis tribute band and I'm playing a vintage v100 epiphone les Paul and a Marshall MG100HFX through two cabs but i can't seem to get the sound quite right and was hoping you could help?
very much appreciated thanks

ANSWER: Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. I have been quite sick lately.
First, let me say excellent choice on your cover band. Oasis is one of my all time favorite bands.
I need to know what you are setting your amp to, what pedals you use, etc.

QUESTION: Hi Jason
Amp settings:
Bass:1
The middle:5/6
treble all the way up
gain between 4-9
Pedals:
vox baby wah
boss compression sustainer cs-3
boss dd-3 delay
ibanez ts9 tube screamer
thanks again

Answer
It looks like you have good setting for a Noel Gallagher sound. I might recommend taking down the treble to 7, and upping the bass to around 4 or 5.
Also, I would recommend a fuzzbox. Generally, as a rule, Oasis was big into fuzz, and that will go along way to getting that vintage, "Morning Glory" type sound.
Good luck, my friend. Keep rockin'!
