Question Hi, I own a Gibson sg with all original hardware including electronics. The problem is, when I turn the bridge volume knob, the volume goes totally off at "7" on my knob. As for the neck, the volume goes off at "0" like normal guitars do. I find this really annoying because even a slight turn on the volume knob can significantly alter my volume.
Is it bad wiring, bad pot, or bad cap maybe? please help me
Answer Hi Yusya, I'd say that it sounds like the volume pot needs to be replaced. If you have any experience soldering, it's easy enough to do yourself, just unhook one wire at a time & re-solder to the new pot. (Don't pull everything off at the same time unless you're really sure you know what you're doing) Hope that helps, if you need anything else, just drop me a line.
Peace - J.
