Question I've got an old '58 Hofner Senator, but it's got a fair few cracks in the binding. Is this only an aesthetic problem, as the guitar aside from this is in near mint condition. If it's a bad problem, is it really expensive to get fixed?
Cheers,
Aaron
Answer Hey Aaron, it's probably only aesthetic, but I'd have it looked at by a professional just in case. As for how much it would cost to fix, I wouldn't know. Considering the age of the instrument, it might be best to just not mess with it, as it could seriously depreciate the value. I would maybe bring to an appraiser before going to a luthier. Hope that helps, if you need anything else, just drop me a line.
