Question Hello Jason, I have a Jackson JS 20 with a faulty tone pot,
i know a little bit about electronics and I know I could
repair it myself, my question is, I believe potentiometers
come in different Ohm ranges, and I have no clue which
resistance ranges my guitar, or any guitar for that matter,
uses, Id really appreciate any insight on this.
Thanks, Julien
Answer Hey Julian, don't bother trying to repair it, just replace it. It's most likely 250K, but it could be 500. It should say on the back or side somewhere, but you can also check it with an ohm meter once you take it out, then just bring it to the store with you. Hope that helps, if you need anything else, just drop me a line.
Peace - J.
