Guitar - General/Choosing the right guitar

Hey, I could really use your help choosing the right guirat for my needs.
I'm a beginner, I don't know much about guitars but I love metal music, heavy metal and symphonic metal are my favorites. I like bands such as Epica, Evanescence, BFMV, Haggard, Dimmu Borgir, Metallica, Linkin Park...
I'd like to play solos and try to play songs like _Your Betrayal - BFMV_ for example!
please, can you help choose the suitable guitar?

Hey Yazan, I'm a Blues guy myself, so I'm to really familiar with all of those bands, but I know Metallica used to use ESP guitars, a lot of people play Ibanez on the Rock scene. Anything from the higher end models of those two companies should suit your needs just fine. I'd suggest against buying the cheaper models because they generally will not play as nicely or sound as good. You don't have to go out & buy the top of the line stuff, anything between 600.00 - 1200.00 should be great. The amp you choose will have a lot to do with your sound as well, Mesa or Marshall would be my top two picks if you really wanna nail a heavy tone. Hope that helps man, if you need anything else, just drop me a line!
Peace - J.

I have been playing guitar for over 30 years & tour regularly with my band River City Junction. We play a mix of Blues, Jazz, Funk, Motown, R&B & Classic Rock so I can help answer any questions related to these genres as well. I also have extensive experience using many different brands of guitars, amplifiers & effects. I do most of my own work on my guitars, & I also build & repair my own pedals & tube amps, so I can help with questions of a technical nature with regards to these subjects as well.
