Hey guys,

I own a Strat copy like an Eddie Van Halen type

with tilted Humbucker in the  bridge position.

My guitar tech took on look at it and said it was

an Ibanez that was commisioned by Schafer, the piano company when they wanted to expand their horizons in the market.

I'm guessing this happened in the late 70's to early 80's sometime. My guitar would reflect that

particular era. I bet Schafer's delve into guitars

didn't last very long. I love my guitar. It has an awesome pro neck. Great for medium hands.

Just play it like a million dollars!

Thank you for the Schafer info. I've been searching for sometime for info.  Glad I finally got another step closer. I have a Schafer longneck Flying V Bass. Never seen another one like it. It's an awesome bass. I just want to find out more about it. Anyone else know anything about it?

What kind of old guitar do I have? Is it valuable? How old is it? Where was it made? Is it worth repairing? Advice on buying new or used guitars, accessories, etc. [Note: While I can give some general info on approximate values of types of instruments, neither I nor anyone else can do an "appraisal" without actually seeing and handling the instrument] I have almost 40 years` experience as a player and afficianado. If I don`t have an answer myself, I can often refer people to other authoritative sources.
