I can't believe someone else out there has one of these!

I picked mine up at a pawn shop in West Jordan, Utah.

I was totally thinking it might have been a custom build by someone in the area.

Its in beautiful shape and I really enjoy it.

If you want pictures or have any questions i'm at Dominooo87 (at) yahoo dot com       It wont let me put my email in normally, so just replace the at and dot com for the real thing.

*Totally psyched that another one of these exist!

I also have a schafer but it the model appears to be EG1935 WA. I bought it in a pawn shop. I have only seen one other Schafer and it appeared to be a copy of a Telecaster. Mine looks exactly like a Gibson. It appears old, it has a yellowish appearance to its ivory and a real nice dark finish. I have been trying for more then 10 years to find out something about it. I have been told its worth everything from $200 to over $2,000. So its a confusing instrument to own. It looks and plays like a dream. If I find addl. info I will contact you.

I read that the Schafer guys were sued for making copied explorer so stopped building them. They were made in Texas. I got one a few years ago from eBay. It's in good shape with one chip in the red paint. Has white stripes and spider web effect painted or decal on it. I would certainly like to know the value of this bass if anyone had any idea. Electronics are working and besides the 3/8" chip in the paint I there's not a thing wrong with it.

What kind of old guitar do I have? Is it valuable? How old is it? Where was it made? Is it worth repairing? Advice on buying new or used guitars, accessories, etc. [Note: While I can give some general info on approximate values of types of instruments, neither I nor anyone else can do an "appraisal" without actually seeing and handling the instrument] I have almost 40 years` experience as a player and afficianado. If I don`t have an answer myself, I can often refer people to other authoritative sources.
