Subject: acoustic guitar bridge

Question
i put new strings on my acoustic guitar and noticed that the bridge was separating from the body. can this be fixed?

Answer
Hello Kenny. This type of problem can definitely be fixed with a minimum amount of tools. You'll need an iron and a thin long blade knife. What u want to do is warm up the bridge with the iron to soften up the old glue and than gently work the bridge off with the knife. Just be careful that you're not removing top material. Once you have it off you'll need to clean off all the old glue with a razor blade used as a scraper and than re glue the bridge and with a glue like TiteBond or some other type of carpenters glue and clamp it into place using a couple of C clamps. Hope this helps.
