Question QUESTION: hi, only just started playing and my low e string buzzes when i play it. its an acoustic and i don't know whether i have tightened it too much or too little
thanks
ANSWER: Hello Conornic. It depends on where the string or how the string is buzzing for us to tackle this properly. I need to know if it buzzes when played open on the string or if it is only on certain frets, than I can give you a better answer. Each circumstance has a different approach to dealing with it. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

QUESTION: It buzzes when i play open and on all frets
Answer Hello Conoric and thanks for the extra info. Sounds to me like the string is just to low either at the nut or saddle or both. Could also be the truss rod is way to tight but that would be a secondary cause. Take your guitar to a local luthier or repair shop and have a good set up done on it. A proper setup would adjust both the truss rod and saddle bridge heights and get rid of the buzz. It's my experience that pretty much all new factory made guitars need to be setup anyway to match the players style. I hope this helps.
