About Patrick
Expertise
I can answer questions pertaining to beginner or expert acoustic or electric guitar. Guitar repair and set up. Song writing and basic copyright laws. Recording music in the studio or live recording and set up. Questions concerning, booking your band and what wages you can expect.

Experience
I have played guitar for 40 years and performed for over 30 years. During this time I have gained knowledge of the music business in Guitar repairs, makes and models, equipment for guitar and recording. By doing my own work, I have saved hundreds of dollars. I am not a legal expert, but I have knowledge of the music business and I keep up with the changes in the business.

Awards and Honors
I have songs that I wrote that have been recognized by Billboard and I had a top ten country song in Europe. I have a band that has worked together for 20years and we still make our living playing music. I love this business and like to help others learn about this exciting business.

Question
Hey Patrick! I have a question or problem. I used to take lessons and was starting to play well but had 2 separate accidents with my left hand. One being dislocation of my left pinky and the other major surgery on my left wrist involving bone removal, cartilage replacement and plate and screws added. My question being...since I am having problems with my left hand with control and strength..do you have an recommendations or ideas on how to get back in the game? A guitar playing friend suggested trying left handed but I'm not sure that will mess me up more or not. Any Ideas? Thanks!---Jason

Answer
Jason, Jason, if we are going to play an instrument, we must take care of our hands..... I'm sorry to hear that you have had some bad luck. If you can not move your fingers and wrist well enough to play, then I say go for the lefty style. But, remember this....
The best therapy is to use your right hand. Start out doing scales and chord progressions. Don't give up!!! I know it will be hard! I've been there! Just do it....

Let me know in a few months how this is working. If you can't do it.. start playing left handed. But give it a chance first.

Good Luck

Patrick
