Guitar Music/Guitar (obviously) LOL

Question
Hey, so I've been playing acoustic guitar for 6 years, bass for 4, and electric for 2, and I'm running into the problem of where to go next. I've been self taught, though I also took a full year of Music Theory at a community college so I have a good amount of musical backing.

A good friend of mine who has been playing music for so many more years than I has suggested time and time again that I get lessons but due to money and time, I can't do that. Any suggestions on where to go next? Obviously you don't know where I am with guitar and what I do and don't know, but I was just curious if you have any insight on specifically helpful things to know or get to know. I am more interested in pursuing acoustic, and electric guitar and not so much with bass if that's helpful.

Thanks ahead of time for anything you can fill me in on.

Answer
Hey Travis,
I hope I understand your question. I think that 6 years is a pretty long time to be playing and still think you need lessons? I know a lot of players that play for 3 to 4 years and are out performing in public. So I think that you should stick with one instrument until you are comfortable playing what it is you want to play. Lessons ever hurt anyone, so if you are interested in doing that, go for it. You are the only one that knows what you want. Figure it out and do it.

Good Luck
