Question I would like to begin to use a computer to record and edit both my music and that of others. Any thoughts on what software I might use?

There are some very good products on the market today. Cakewalk seems to be one of the best sellers. Every year something new is coming out. I personally don't know a lot about recording using a PC. I use a Korg XD 16 Personal Studio. A trip to your local music store would be a great way of learning what you would need to get started. Walk to some people who are in the know.
