Guitar Music/Left Handed Guitar

Question
After playing a few Guitar Hero games, I am motivated to play guitar now. I play Guitar Hero left handed and right handed doesn't feel comfortable and I play horrible with my right hand. I may be getting a guitar for Christmas but I'm not sure. My parents don't believe anyone plays left handed and they don't want to get me a left handed guitar because they think its just not right. So my question is should I start trying to play with my right hand or should I tell my parents that I need a left handed guitar because it's more comfortable(and the legend Hendrix played left handed, woot!!)?

You should play the guitar the way it is comfortable to you. Paul McCartney plays left handed. And like you mentioned Jimmy Hendrix. Chances are you will not stick with the guitar if you are not happy with the way it feels.
