Question Hello,
I am interested in learning electric guitar. I would like to know where I should begin. Should I buy an acoustic first and then an electric, or just an electric? If it helps, I play left handed.
Thanks.
Answer Hi Amanda,
I would seriously consider starting with the acoustic guitar and learning the guitar basic before you move on to the electric guitar. It would would not only strengthen your hands, it will also teach you "right hand timing" and once you move on to the electric, you will be more apt to stick with it. The electric guitar is a different beast and can cause you some bad habits as far as learning technique.
