Question
I have beretta 92 FS; is it possible to convert it to 92 G (no safety), just by changing parts inside the slide, or you have to replace the whole slide ?

Answer
John,

I'm not a Beretta armorer.  Per a colleague:

It seems like this question gets asked on the Beretta Forum once every 6-9 months.  If I remember correctly, the general concensus is to simply acquire a complete G-slide to replace the FS.  Here's a link to a topic on the Beretta Forum that supports the simpler answer.

Some of the newer Beretta models, such as the PX-4, do allow for coversion from FS to G to D by simply replacing parts, but the 92-series never came with this capability.
