I have two questions...
1. I currently have a HK .45 and I am wondering if I could use a low viscosity
motor oil has lubrication for my pistol? Maybe some Mobil 1, 0w-30???
2. I live in Florida we have some really relaxed gun laws, thank God. I guess
the looney left wingers have taken over yet in my state yet. My question is
how would I obtain a class 3 weapons permit? I wanted to get a full auto Hk
416 rifle. I have my concealed permit but I need a class 3 federal license
something... Any idea???

Thanks for your question.
Regarding your question on using motor oil on your firearm, I would not recommend it. I'd get a good quality gun oil like Hoppe's Gun Oil or Burke's Gun Oil. If you want to get some of the best stuff out there, check out "Gun Butter". Some of the top competitive shooters use it and it is great stuff, but a little hard to find.
Motor oil is much more viscose and will be a dust magnet and gum up your gun. You need a very light weight oil and should use it very sparingly. On my own H&K USP Compact .45, I use a drop on each of the slide mounts and a drop or two on the barrel which I spread around using my fingers. There should be no visible excess, just a light film on the outside of the barrel.
If you need to lubricate the trigger workings, I use something called EEZOX which is a very light weight synthetic lubricant. It is too lightweight for the barrel or slide. I don't recommend that you lubricate the trigger more than twice a year. It just doesn't require it.
As far as class 3 firearms are concerned, you need to get a permit for each class three weapon you purchase. It is actually a 'transfer stamp' vs. an actual license. Each class 3 device (firearm, shotgun, suppressor, etc.) is associated with a single individual. This regulation applies to anything that falls under the National Firearms Act of 1934.
Got purchase a class 3 device , you need to complete a "ATF Form 4" which your class 3 dealer will supply you with or that you can get at the following link: http://www.atf.treas.gov/forms/pdfs/f53204.pdf
That form must be signed by your local sheriff or a local judge. You will need to submit your Form 4, fingerprint card and a fee of $200 to BATF. Approval generally takes between 30 and 60 days. You will need to pass a background check before the transfer paperwork will be issued. If you have a CCW permit from Florida, you should have no problem with the background check.
Your class 3 firearms dealer will usually help you process all this stuff...and will hold your desired firearm (with a deposit of course) while the paperwork is moving through the process. On a final note, there are a very small number of the H&K 416's available for purchase by private individuals and they are EXPENSIVE. The last one I saw sold went for just under $4,000 on Gunbroker.com
