Question Just received CZ 75 Compact, No owners manual, would like to know how to field strip.
Answer Very odd that it did not have a manual. You should contact CZ. I'm sure they'll send you one.
1) Remove the magazine and be sure that the gun is unloaded. Check twice.
2) Cock the hammer and retract the slide so the witness marks line up. These marks are found on the obverse (non-ejection port side the gun. There is a vertical mark on the slide behind the cocking serrations, and one on the frame. Line these up.
3) Push and "wiggle" out the slide stop / barrel pin.
4) The slide should then come right off the gun. Carefully remover the guide rod and spring. The barrel will come right out.
