Question I AM MOVING FROM BALTIMORE ,MD TO WAKE COUNTY ,NC AND I OWN A .40 CAL. GLOCK 22 DO I NEED A PERMIT OR SOMETHING TO HAVE MY GUN WITH ME IN NC
Answer When you buy a handgun in NC, you need either a handgun purchase permit from the Sheriff or a concealed carry permit. If you already legally own the gun, no permit is needed. While in your car, if you don't have a concealed carry permit, you should have the gun unloaded in the trunk or locked glovebox.
In order to carry the gun concealed, you need a concealed carry permit. If the gun is carried completely visible (such as in a holster without anything else covering it), then it can be carried without a permit.
