Question I have nikko golden eagle #00266 and i need to know what it is worth for my insurance in case i have to replace it before i can get my insurance on all my personal stuff
Answer David,
Sorry, but the serial number doesn't tell me anything. I need the model number. Golden Eagles are generally either Model 5000 shotguns, with either a Grade I or Grade II designation. In 98% condition these guns are worth $800 and $900 respectively.
If you have a bolt action rifle, it would be a Model 7000. Again there would be a Grade I or Grade II designation. In this case the range would be from $550 to $600 in 98% condition.
If you have a Grandee Grade III, these are similar to the 5000 but have very intricate engraving and inlays in the wood. If you are fortunate to have one of these, they are valued at between $2200 and $2500 if in 98% condition or better.
