Question I have a Fox Model B/Savage Arms 2 3/4" double barrel with a single gold trigger that I inherited from my dad who bought it new about 1968. I need a new set of barrels and new stock. Can you please point me in a direction? Thanks
Answer I believe Gun Parts have stocks for them...is the original stock broken or gone? As far as barrels, that is more difficult. They, or Sarco MIGHT have them, but barrels need to be fitted, they are usually not just interchangeable. Are the original barrels badly pitted? Fox model B's were made from 1905-1918, Savage-Fox Model B's were made 1930-1942. They are good solid guns, however other than the sentimental value, having barrels sleeved plus a new stock set would probably exceed the value of the gun.....but if it was your dad's, who cares about the value? If it's worth it to you, so be it. Your best bet is to find another with decent barrels and have a local gunsmith fit the set to your receiver. Thanks.
