Question I recently received a pistol and have no clue what it is. My uncle said is was used by the Japanese during WWII. On the side of the pistol is E 1369, and then a circle which has FAB 1910 printed inside it. It hase a black, (plastic?), grip and the overall shape reminds me of a Luger. Thanks for taking your time to read this.
Answer The japanese used the Nambu pistol (Papa and Baby) during WWII, they had wooden grips but did resemble the Luger crudely....Does it have a large round knob on the back of the slide? Are the grips ribbed? Do you have the ability to take pics of it? Hard for me to guess. If it is Japanese there should be some japanese writing on it. However, any pistol could conceivably be found being carried by a Jap or an allied soldier as well. Send some pics. Thanks. My email is schuetzen1@metrocast.net.
