Question
QUESTION: i got a couple questions 1 is what does the song prostitute mean is it about a prostitute or what? another is what does the song coma mean i don't really  understand what it means. The last is what does the song sorry mean is it about the other band members?

ANSWER: Hi Forrest!

As of now, the interpretations of the new songs are really up to whoever is listenning to them.  Your guest is as good as mine.  That's exactly how Axl wants it.  He was asked about the meaning of the new songs and he answered that he prefers to wait before he gives his own interpretation, so that the fans can make their own.

As for Coma, it's about someone who's stuck somewhere, somehow, really metaphoric actually, like your stuck, your emotions, your feelings are stuck in your own self, like you are in a coma.

Take care!

QUESTION: ok i got a couple more songs if you don't mind. they are locomotive, paradise city, estranged and dust in bones.

Answer
Hi again! :)

I have never heard Axl giving any interpretation about Paradise City and Dust N' Bones.  If I remember correctly, I think Slash talks about PC in his book, saying how the main lyrics came naturally.  For Dust N' Bones, I take it as a song talking about a certain way of life... Interesting to know tho that I-65 in an highway near Lafayette, IN, where Axl and Izy grew up.

Locomotive... I personnaly take it about a really specific Axl state of mine about love and life. But again, this comes only from me, not an interpretation by Axl or any other band members.

For Estranged, I invite you to find and watch the "Making Fking Videos Part 4 of the Trilogy:  The making of Estranged".  Axl talks about the song, why he wrote it, all is there.  What I can tell you to make it short is that it is inspired by a short story called "Without You" by Del James.  You can find the book for sale on the internet, it's a book with a couple of short horror stories, except that Without You is not an horror story.  Del James was inspired by Axl when he wrote the main caracter.  In the book, there is this one song... And when Axl wrote Estranged, he felt as he wrote the song of the story.  It's really a cool read, I really recommend it.

Take care!
