I believe that this answer is quite true, but it also shows us how Axl misses his youth and is constantly reminded of it in his younger girlfriend, Erin. Again refering back to their diference in age, the end of the so "where do we go now" emphasises how they are unsure of how their relationship will end due to the age gap.
