Question Hello my name is penny and I would LOVE to do gymnastics, But the problem is that I live in a small county town which does not have a gymnastics facility. Anyway I want to ask would I be to old to join a gymnastics club at 18??????? Thank you for your time. Penny. :)
Answer Penny,
I know people who started gymnastics in their sixties, so no, 18 will not be too old. A year before you decide to start, get a check up with your doctor, then work with a coach or physical fitness expert to develop a workout that will get you in shape for doing gymnastics. Believe me, even when you are in the best of shape, the first time you seriously do gymnastics you will find, by way of aches and pains, muscles you never knew you had.
Strength and flexibility are probably the two most important techniques in the sport of gymnastics.
