Question
I was wondering, what would be a start value for my routines to start at to make a decent mens gymnastics team like Iowa? My stronger events are floor, vault, and p-bars, so what would be best for those events? I'm getting close but i was wondering what you think would be a good range.
Thank you

Answer
John-

On vault, you would need a 5.8-6.2 start to be somewhere in range of the team. Doing a 6.6 would probably help you secure a spot on the team. Floor you would need to do somewhere in the range of 5.6-16. Parallel bars would be about the same. Work to eliminate A skills in a 10 part routine. Work on connecting skills on floor. Parallel bars you will need a variety of skills from giants to peach skills and a pike double back dismount.
