Gymnastics - weight

Expert: Robert Davis - 10/4/2009

Question
Is there a specific weight one needs to be to become a gymnast?

Answer
Hi Bridgette,
There is no weight requirement for doing gymnastics, just like there are no specific weights required for most sports.  Doing gymnastics may affect your weight, and specific tricks are easier for different sized people, but there is no specific weight that is needed.
Regards,
Robert
