Question
Would you say getting the chance to compete in the visa championships is a reasonable goal, if I'm only almost on level 6 at 13?
Thanks,
Nick

Answer
Nick,

I don't think it's an UN-reasonable goal, but it will require that you put in a great deal of hard work.

Qualifying to the Championships requires a either a top finish at JO nationals (exactly how well you have to do varies from year to year) as a level 10, or going to one of the elite qualifiers and scoring very well (80+ all-around) under FIG rules.

To start, you should talk to your coach about what you need to do over the summer to get to level 7 or even level 8.

Best of Luck with it,

Dean Dryer
