Expert: Pam Rafe-Borges - 9/8/2009

Question
hi and thanks for taking my question    im 15 and turning 16 in march im about 5 foot and have strong legs can do a roundoff backbend kick over when i was younger i did gymnastics and i was pretty good but i stopped in about fourth grade   i was wondering if im too old to be able to do gymnastics now and possibly in college

Answer
Hi Sarah,

You are never too old to do gymnastics.  You can always do skills that are at your level.  College gymnastics is VERY competitive.  You can however join a gymnastics "club" when you are in college.  Most college gymnasts are level 10 or higher with a few level 9's being able to compete.

Pam
