I am also ready to offer advice for those who want to expand or start a comprehensive gymnastics program.

Gymnastics - balance beam

Expert: Elle Boyce - 9/21/2006

Question
My daughter currently competes as a 9 year old Level 4. We would like to purchase a balance beam for her to practice at home. What type and size would you suggest?

Answer
It depends on what you're trying to accomplish.  If you are merely trying to establish comfort in doing skills on the beam, then I would go with Tumbl Trak's sectional floor beam (Item #SB-100).  It comes in 4 ft sections that can be added together, so you can make it long and short as you need to.

If you're looking into getting something a little farther off the ground, to do some serious training on, and you have the space, look into their spring beam.  It's awesome.
