Question My hair is thinning and i'm only 26 and i mean majorly thinning. It's been this
way for about 8 months. When it falls out i still see the white bulb attached to. I
had an eating disorder two years ago but did not see hair loss then. My mother
whom was living with me passed away last June. I need help, i don't want to go
bald. Any recommedations for people to see to treat it or what to do.
Answer I would contact the department of dermatology at NYU and ask them who their hair expert is for females with hair loss.
The best expert I can think of for you is Dr Elise Olsen but she is in North Carolina .. If you email her she may be able to direct you to someone good in NYC. You need a full work up and I don't want to have you start on some treatment and find it confuses diagnosis. Here in he USA we usually see Dermatologists who specialize in hair rather than seeing Trichologists which is a popular thing to do in the UK.
